Novatek’s Shrouded Right Angle Grinders utilize a 3M™ brand Coating Removal Discs or CRD®. The advantage of this non-woven, open web disc is that it will remove residual coatings or impacted corrosion into the substrate after coating removal with the Shrouded Needle Scales or PPT, but will not destroy the surface profile produced by these tools. In accordance with SSPC surface specifications, it may be necessary to utilize more then one type of cleaning device to achieve SP-11 power tool cleaning to bare metal.

Floating Shrouds
A flexible shroud with a 360° radial vacuum take-off insures even air flow and maximum capture of dust & debris. The floating shrouds can even utilize a full range of abrasives to tackle your toughest grinding needs.

Shrouded Mini Grinder

Problems grinding those tight, difficult to reach areas are now solved with Novatek’s shrouded Mini Grinder. The fixed head design allows grinding and coatings removal up to edges, corners and on irregular surfaces. The convertible design allows you to adapt 1.5″ & 2″ abrasive disks. The parallel vacuum takeoff permits grinding in tight areas only 2″ wide. Novatek’s Shrouded Mini Grinders utilize a 3M™ Roloc brand Coating Removal Discs (CRD®). The advantage of this non-woven, open web disc is that it will remove residual coatings or impacted corrosion into the substrate. Novatek also offers a vast assortment of abrasives for surface preparation on wood, aluminum and steel.
